Moving on to a New Job in 2019 Journey

Long time no see and apologies for the late post. Wondering what I’ve been doing lately, I been busy with my new job.

I’ve shifted from office to customer service job, is a education line. I’ve sign the contract and started working on 1st march 2019.

What is the difficulties of moving to a new job. Well, to me is hard cause of my families situation, and I need a job to cope my finance. You will defiantly have a lot of things to think thru before you made a decision. Best is to discuss with your family member. To get some solution or what type of job to find.

Job is alway boring. I feel every Job is the same. Especially for office job. Some might not have much things to do. For small position like me. Data entry and etc.

Now I shifted to customer service education line is harder for me for sure, but I have to do it. For the sick of my family and finance to cope with. It’s challenging for me. I’ve been working office job all along with different companies. Of cause will have good and bad companies. That’s why I been shifted and changing a lot of jobs.

Now currently I still on probation term. So I’m doing my best 😦 Even though, to be honest I still prefer office job.

Firstly, is the working hours. I did get regretted choosing this line. But I just gonna make it without a choice. Basically is more on the working hours. Cause I chose the 6 days week and with 1 day off.

First day of work is super dam stress. Cause I feel I have lesser time to do my stuff. And I was hoping after 1 year contract I can change a 5 days work.

My advise is don’t quit your job so easily. If you are at a comfortable zone and flexible working hours. Don’ quit your job so fast.

If you are having financial difficulties and you need more finance to cope, do get a part time job to cover.

If you are good with changing job, and very sure for it. It’s okay to go ahead. Make the right choice and go for it.

I was wondering, our relationship of my family will it be better and better?

Pass few months, maybe yes! but now a bit of sadness that comes from my dad really makes me feels like.. upset too. But I keep tell myself that it will be better and not matter how hard it is, we are still one family.

One year older again! Life will be better ahead !

Sewing Project: Sew a Small Furry Fur Zip Wallet / Pouch

Here is another project which I done recently. I did a little small zip wallet/pouch. I use it as wallet and I quite like it. Especially the soft fabric, and nice to touch. Like those furry type of pouch. I did the same thing as the pencil case too.

Just align one long rectangular fabric and sew the sides and then the zipper. I use those normal type of zipper with just a normal type of zip head. There are quite a few types, some with rough zip line inside, those are use for bigger or bulky projects. I don’t have any special skills to choose which type of zip to use, but I choose according to what type of project I do. I did a small simple pouch so I just get a normal zip which matching colours that’s all.

This fabric I use is quite thick when you fold to 2 but my machine manage to make it for sewing them together. You just have to make sure your machine can handle most of the type of fabrics. Like mine machine, it can’t sew thicker fabrics like quilt fabric. So I will just stick to normal type of fabric which my machine can handle.

Sewing the zipper is really quite challenging. Especially when you don’t know which side to side to first and I get very annoyed when I don’t really know how to sew the zip and I went to watch some videos on how to sew it. Just have to do more practice. This small project really suits beginner who are still learning. Do as many practice as you can, Feel free to share with me, I will be glad to see your project too!

Sooner I will do some tutorial videos on my projects once I’m ready to show my work. >w< Hope this short post helps you! Do stay tune for more projects coming up!

Happy Sewing!

Understand Tools that Commonly used for Sewing, What to get for Beginner Sewing

Hello! I’m sharing this post of what material that commonly used for sewing projects. Mainly for small project like small wallet or zip pouch.

I found sewing quite fun and it’s really interest me since I first start. It’s hard to be very consistent in just one hobby, need to have a lot of focus and really into it.

So, I’ve been searching for some videos tutorials and reading some guide from web. As for my experience I daftly know a bit of things like materials to use but still need to work it out. Here I’m sharing what I use for my projects.

I bought this buttons at my local shop, this button I feel it’s suitable for small project. They come with different sizes. So you can actually sees which sizes is for what project so it matches. They are 2 colours, one is silver and black. This brand was my granny used for last time when she were sewing some clothes. It’s like a pin button, easy to pin and used too!

The most common ones, can be done for practicing too. Is a 15 Colors Buttons 0.88” (22.5mm) Sewing Button Multi Colored Pack of 105 with Box ( Each Color 7 Pcs), this is the very normal type of buttons. Best to use for practicing.

I also brought some Pre cut fabric at my nearest craft shop. I’m doing some most of the small project so I buy small amount of fabric for practicing. I bought a few at $4-$5 (SGD) for Iike 45cm estimate. Normally for 1 yard is about $6 onwards or even less then $6 or more than. Depends on the material itself. Some is depends on the designs, some is by the material. Don’t have to be real cotton if you are buying cotton fabric, cause real cotton can be quite costly. For practicing small project, I would suggest normal cotton fabric will do.

For needle I did bought this Singer Assorted Craft Needles in Compact, 25-Count. This come with a few sizes in one set, 25 pieces and you can just try and use which needle size is suit for which fabric types. This is super good cause you don’t have to buy so many different type of needle, this one comes all in 1 go.

There is also another type of needles, which is make your work easier. CJESLNA 30pcs Assorted Hand Sewing Needles Embroidery Mending Craft Quilt Sew Case. This one comes with 30 pieces. The top of the needle is gold colour as you can see from the picture. I personally like this needle cause it’s makes my work easier. It’s different from the normal ones which is like you have to go through the hole when you want to insert the thread, but this one is just go on top of the needle and just slot in. Highly recommended!

I found it quite difficult to cut fabric using scissor as the side will go slated and not accurate which makes the piece turn out to be not as nice. I bought a fabric cutter, OLFA 45 mm High-quality tungsten steel Ergonomic Rotary Cutter & 45mm Rotary Blade Refill, 1-Pack Value Set. This is a roller type of cutter which is much easier to cut the fabric out with just one time straight.

Next comes to the most important use for sewing, which is the Thread. Candora Sewing Thread Assortment Coil 30 Colour 250 Yards Each Polyester Thread  for Hand and Machine Sewing. You can choose the colours which matches your fabric before you buy any. Or you can just get a 30 colours set, Polyester thread on a go if you have familiar with sewing and ready to do your projects on hand! As you can see from the image, this is a thin round stand type of thread. Also one more type is for the sewing machine. I can’t see what’s the difference between sewing machine and hand sewing thread, it’s just looks all the same to me. Only thing I found out is for sewing machine there is a hole in the middle of the thread to stand on the machine. Other then that is all the same. It’s doesn’t matter what material you use to sew for the thread. Normally people will just use polyester. If you want something better ones like if you are looking for cotton thread, go ahead and get the cotton ones. For now I will just stick to Polyester thread with cotton fabrics.

UrbanDe.Fine: Where to find Simple and Affordable Briefcase at a Budget Price

Looking for a briefcase with affordable price? Simple and not to bulky..?

Well, recently we keep looking for a briefcase which is simple and not too bulky for work. We’ve been searching most of the shopping malls like Istena, BHG etc. apparently they don’t have what we wanted and most of it are too bulky and not really nice designs with a expensive price. But if you are looking for normal and your expectation is not  high, you may consider to get it from those malls.

As for us we are quite budget and we want to find a simple design with not too complicated style. Most important is can use very long.

We found this shop that have what we needed and it’s totally perfect for us.

This made from real leather, and simple deigns with two front clip buttons. With a zip at the back and a top handle, come with sling strip. As and when you can just use it as shoulder sling bag or can use handle when you use it for work like formal company. Most of the office with formal dress code will need this I bet. But this is not really important cause you can bring sling bag or backpack bag for the starting beginning of your work day and can buy it mostly after first pay!

So if you are not really into branded and if you are looking for better quality with a affordable price, this is the best shop to get it.

Travel Guide: Cat Village In Taiwan, Taipei

Cat Village

This is the Cat Village located in Taipei, further up in Shi Fen. The easiest way is to grab a cab down here from Shi Fen or Jiu Fen.

Here is small mini shop, that sell all sort of Cats Souvenirs which are all so adorable.

They have a special thing to do here is to keep the memories there. This little bamboo thingy can write down your wishes for the Cat Village and keep a memories by hanging at the road side like how other people did it too!

The most cute thing I saw is the bridge. They actually use their own creativity to decorate the bridge with lots of cat images, hanging balls that looks like Poke Ball! But actually is Cat bell that you always get to see in the pet collar.

Along the bridge, they have food and treats for the cats. Is for the cats to rest and play around with. While walking along the bridge, we can see those cats hanging around. The feeling like Peaceful and I love the way they did for this animals. With a kind heart for the animals here.

Here is a little village, people of the cat owner stay in here I guess. They have a little shop here too.

When you come here, they will ask you if you want to buy a Stamp Book. This is the book that allows you to Stamp and keep it for memories! Cool uh! If you want to keep this wonderful memories, don’t forget to get a booklet for the Stamp on every station in the book! Not only here, all around Taipei! Find your spot! (I only manage to knew it from here, so I have missed a lot of station stamp.)
